I'm a third generation Colorado native and work as a Software Engineer in the Denver metro area. I primarily write JVM based software in Scala and Java, but also like to dabble in other languages as well. In general I spend my free time teaching myself new things across a wide variety of interests, as well as taking photos around the Western US.
I've worked on all kinds of different software based projects over the years, and look forward to working on many more. On this page you can find a comprehensive list of some of the projects I've been involved with.
The majority of code I've written during my career has been used to power various services and websites, but I do have a few open source projects here and there. I've also contributed bug fixes to various open source projects.
Although I wouldn't consider myself an accomplished author, I have worked on everything from my blog to technical books starting in 2001. I do have a few things in the works that aren't yet listed as well.
In early 2003, I started my software blog, devnulled, as a place to blog about various issues I ran across while programming and how I solved them. Over the years it's focus has changed a lot and I don't post nearly as often these days, but I do continue to update it from time to time.
One of the best things about the internet is the spread and access of free information. I continually read about all kinds different subjects from Cars to Startups. Here are some of my favorite resources to learn about these topics and more.
